Homeowner's Meeting 7/9/08

 Just wanted to post a reminder that our next homeowner's meeting is on Wed July 9th at 7:00 pm at the Colonial Restaurant in Crystal Lake.  Exact location details are provided below. 
 
Your input is absolutely necessary to the continued success of our homeowner's association.  Without your input and time we can not properly function as a board of directors.  To provide the best representation of you as homeowner's your opinions and direction are needed!
 
Our homeowner's meetings have all been great successes so far, and I look forward to seeing everyone, sharing some improvement information, catching up and reviewing our recently completed Reserve Study which is available for download on the Documents/Forms page of the website.
 
See you at Colonial on Wednesday night!  Have a happy and safe 4th of July!

Summer Newsletter

Everyone should have received their summer 08 newsletter in yesterday's mail.  If you missed it or have misplaced it...it can be retrieved on the Documents/Forms section of the website!
 
Fire Extinguisher Recharging

On Monday, 6/30 all fire extinguishers will have their yearly re-fills.
 
Landscape Improvements
6/24/08
 
The mulch is coming!!  Over the next few days Harm's Landscaping will be out installing mulch into all of our planting beds!  Goodbye to rocky, bare planting areas.  At the same time they will also be trimming bushes/shrubs and pruning trees.  Finally, they will be installing erosion protection by all downspouts where mulch could be washed away during the rain.  We'll be monitoring this situation and will install more if needed! 
 
More Improvements

Pardon the noise over the last few days!  You've seen some work going on outside over the past few days.  All buildings have been power-washed up to 5 ft from the ground.  The unsightly mold/mildew/dirt has been cleaned away from the brick work and siding.  The buildings look fantastic.
 
Also, we contracted to have all of the insulation on the cooling lines of our AC units replaced.  At the same time, the points of access of the ac lines were all caulked and sealed to prevent any water seepage/pest issues.  Look for more improvements over the next few weeks!
 
Pet Waste Reminder

As a community we're improving greatly when it comes to removal of pet waste and cleaning up after your animal.  Thanks to everyone who's getting on board with cleaning up after your animal, and let's not forget to gently remind community members who are not following this local ordinance. 
 
Smoking Notice
3/25/08
 
We have received numerous complaints about residents and/or guests smoking in the common hallways of the buildings.  Please be advised that this will not be accepted.  It is against our Declarations and Bylaws and is also a violation of Illinois State Law.  Smoking must be done outside and no closer than 15 ft to any door of the building.  Please refrain from smoking in all common hallways of buildings, be respectful of your neighbors and state law as well! 
 
 
2008 Annual Homeowner Meeting
2/28/08
 
Everyone should have received your information packets regarding our Annual Homeowner's Meeting starting at 7:00 pm on Wed. March 19th.  This is the meeting where we need your continued excellent attendance!  Should you only have the opportunity to make one meeting this year, this is the one! 
 
Contained in your mailing was the Annual Call Notice, Annual Meeting agenda, and a nomination form for new board members.  All of these forms are available on the Documents/Forms page of the site.  Please take the time to come to this meeting as it is important to the continued success of our association.  We will be electing our board for the next year.  We will select three board members, the highest vote getter will serve a two year term and the two next highest will serve a one year term.  This ensures some continuity from one board to the next and a smooth transition. 
 
We look forward to seeing everyone present at the meeting.  Please send in your nomination forms by March 12th.  This allows us time to create the list and to publish the names of those running here on the website prior to the meeting.  See you there!
 
 
Critter Cage Installation
2/19/08
 
During the week of 2/11/08 GCC contracted to have new critter control cages placed on all of the exterior dryer/exhaust vents on the property.  Prior to the installation, the exterior sides of all vents were serviced and cleaned.  This is an important safety and aesthetic project done to insure that dryer vents are working properly and that all look consistent. This project was funded by the association.
 
Don't forget to check your dryer vent on the inside and clean out any lint/debris inside the line.  A plugged vent not only leads to higher energy bills (longer drying times) but is also a fire hazard!  If you are unable to clean the vents yourself, you can check the yellow pages for providers of the interior cleaning service.
 
Parking Policy Reminder
11/1/07
 
Don't forget that starting today our new parking policy goes into effect.  You should have placed the Golf Course Condos parking stickers in the rear window of your vehicles.  Please be careful to place the stickers in the correct vehicle.  Please contact Complete Management Solutions if you have any changes in vehicles to insure we have proper records of all resident vehicles.
 
Please also have your overnight guests display their parking passes from the rearview mirror of their vehicle as well.  Also, the visitor spot signs have been removed to clean up the look of the property.  Visitor spots are marked with the word 'VISITOR' clearly painted on them in blue. 
 
Take careful note of all aspects of the new parking policy, as enforcement begins today; 11/1/07.  We apologize to anyone who may have a warning sticker placed on their car.  It's not to punish anyone, we just want to have our parking issues resolved, and insure that when you get home, you have a spot available to you. Thanks for your cooperation!

Below is the schedule of homeowner meeting dates for the 2008.  Your attendance and participation in these upcoming meetings are the most important component of future improvements to our community.  With your participation, involvement, and input we can get the most out of our homes and community.

 

All homeowner meetings will be held at the Colonial Cafe in Crystal Lake on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-9:00 pm.
